1. Introduction to HAS Exam:
HAS exam is conducted by the Himachal Pradesh Public
Service Commission (HPPSC) to select candidates for various administrative
posts in the state. It is a highly competitive exam which evaluates the

2. Examination Syllabus:
The HAS exam consists of three stages: Preliminary Exam,
Main Exam and Personality Test (Interview). Let us see the syllabus for each

Preliminary Examination:
- General Studies Paper I: History, Geography, Political
Science, Current Affairs, Economics, Social Development Issues, Environment,
Science and Technology.
- General Studies Paper II (Aptitude Test): Communication
skills, logical reasoning, analytical ability, decision making, problem
solving, data interpretation, English language comprehension skills, and basic
number comprehension, interpersonal skills.
